La poesia mi risulta sempre difficile. Manca quella linearità di significato rassicurante che trovo nella prosa. E questa raccolta non mi è piaciuta per nulla.

This was the first book I ever read of one of my youth myth, singer Francesco Guccini. His writing is simple to read, but wraps you in a special atmosphere. I felt like I was in Pavana. I thought I could smell the odor of wooden tables drenched in wine spilled in the rush of filling up glasses. I enjoyed the taste of roasted rabbit. I could hear the snap of backslapping between old friends that have not seen each other in a lifetime.

I had heard a lot about this book. Mostly negative commentary. Hence, I left it dust on the shelf for many years, but often glanced at it with curiosity. I wanted to know what all of those negative critiques were about. I eventually picked up and read it with great pleasure. I discovered a political philosophy essay, inspired by the Hegelian tradition, which is worth much more than its bad reputation.
