Globalismo e mondializzazione. L'umanità e l'universo. La ricerca di certezze e l'intrinseca intangibilità del futuro. Morin propone una visione della vita in tutte le sue complessità che è allo stesso tempo un monito su come affrontare la vita stessa sia possibile solo abbracciando tale complessità e interdipendenza fra la parte è il tutto, a partire da quella tra ogni individuo e l'umanità intera. Morin ammonisce fra le righe che quando non si faccia questo il futuro dell'umanità diventerà ancora più incerto di quanto già non lo sia intrinsecamente.

And at the same time states how it is only by embracing such complexities between the part and the whole, in daily life acts and thoughts, that we can live. Starting with the interdependence between individuals and all mankind, Morin cautions that we don't embrace those complexities our future will become even more uncertain.
