An historical novel that tells the story of Romagna at the end of the nineteenth century. Caught between the first protests of the rising blue collar cities and the miserable life of sharecroppers. The writing is not always engaging and fluid, but the neverending fight between the rich who want to protect their privileges and the poor trying to emancipate themselves is very well documented.
