Ho amato questo autore per le avventure dell'Isola del Tesoro, Stevenson mostra una volta di più, in questo classico dell'horror, la sua ecletticità e soprattutto la sua capacità di guardare dentro al mistero dell'animo umano. Storia non particolarmente entusiasmante, forse perché non amo il genere, ma approfondito e drammatico lo studio dell'uomo, stupefancente nel dettaglio dei contrasti fra il buono e il malvagio, l'istinto e la razionalità; di molti anni antecedente al lavoro di Freud su id, ego e super-ego .
I have loved this author for the adventures of Treasure Island, but Stevenson shows once more, in this classic of the horror, its eclectic writing abilities and above all its ability to watch inside the mystery of the human mind. The story is not particularly appealing, maybe because I dont like the genre, but the deep and dramatic the study of the human mind and soul, astonishing in the detail of the contrasts between good and evil, instinct and rationality; many years before Freud's studies on id, ego and super-ego.
