Il libro si legge in due giorni, è davvero una lettura piacevole, ma ha due lacune! Se siete laureati in economia e durante gli anni di università avete prestato attenzione alle lezioni di macroeconomia, microeconomia, scienza delle finanze e mercati finanziari invece di guardare la bionda nel banco a fianco, i primi capitoli non aggiungeranno nulla al vostro bagaglio di conoscenze. I capitoli successivi che applicano le teorie economiche a problemi pratici (spesa sanitaria, ecologia, aste pubbliche, paesi sottosviluppati, ecc.) diventa molto più interessante, ma l'autore liquida gli argomenti presentando il suo punto di vista, che non è necessariamente quello di altri economisti e quindi, lasciando, a mio avviso, alcune domande aperte.
The book goes by in two days, it makes for a very funny reading, but it has two drawbacks! If you graduated in economics or business and during university you paid attention to lectures during macroeconomics, microeconomics, public finance and financial markets classes, instead of looking at the blond girl sitting next to you, the first chapters of the book do not add much to your knowledge. The following chapters, where the author applies economic theory to practical problems (healthcare expenditure, environment, public auctions, poor countries, etc.), are much more interesting, but the author talks about them very briefly and he takes a specific stance that not all economists would agree with, thus, in my opinion, he leaves some open questions.
