Potente allegoria questo libretto scritto dal poeta e aviatore francese. Il linguaggio spoglio, fintamente fanciullesco, apre una finestra sulle assurdità del mondo attraverso gli occhi di un bambino, il Piccolo Principe appunto: dalla frenesia per gli affari, all'alienante e disumana ripetitività di alcuni lavori manuali - forse Saint-Exupéry aveva visto Tempi Moderni di Chaplin -, alla vanesia individualità di molti adulti. Un elenco basilare, ma che coglie tutte le brutture di una razza, quella umana, che non sembra imparare dalla sua storia, vista la crisi ambientale-economica-sociale dei nostri giorni.
This short novel written by the French poet and aviator is a powerful allegory. The very basic language, ostensibly kids' language, helps to look at the world aberrations through the eyes of a child, the Little Prince: from businessmen frenzy, to alienating and un-human repetition of some hand-jobs - maybe Saint-Exupéry had watch Chaplin's Modern Times -, to pointless vanity of many individuals. A basic list of human nature characteristics, but they are enough to capture the ugliest facets of mankind, which does not seem to learn from historical errors... if one had to judge by the current environmental-economic-social crisis.
