Jamling Tenzing Norgay, figlio del grande sherpa che per primo (29 maggio 1953) raggiunse la cima dell'Everest con Sir Edmund Hillary, racconta in un mix di misticismo ed avventura la tragica campagna di salita al tetto del mondo (Qomolangma) del maggio 1996, quando 8 alpinisti persero la vita a causa del maltempo e di una serie di imprudenze. La stessa per intenderci resa tristemente famosa da "Aria Sottile" di Jon Krakauer
Il libro è un po' troppo mistico-buddista, nondimeno è uno dei testi che ha contribuito al mio amore per la montagna.

The same story that was made famous by Jon Krakauer, with his "Into Thin Air"
The book is a little too much mystic-Buddhist, nevertheless it is one of the readings that have contributed to my love for mountains.
