Quando ti accorgi che alcune descrizioni e intrecci narrativi sono superflui, forse anche un po' noiosi, di quel noioso però che ti ricorda i grandi classici, come Manzoni, o Steinbeck, e non riesci a smettere di leggere, allora ti rendi conto di essere di fronte ad un grande scrittore.
When you realize that some descriptions of characters and introductions to new parts of the story are redundant, and maybe a little boring, but the kind of boredom that reminds of great classics, such as Manzoni and Steinbeck, and you can't stop reading, then you become fully conscious of what a great author you're reading.
