Starting from the story of Luigi Albertini, chief editor and managing director of Corriere della Sera in the 1920s, fired because of his anti-fascist ideas in 1925, Mucchetti describes the current ownership structure of Corriere della Sera, the chain of command and stakeholder structure of Telecom-Pirelli and Fiat-Ifil groups, thus revealing the inconsistencies (if not full-blown frauds) of our market economy that is left undone and without remedy. The book requires a bit of interest for the intricacies of finance, but in between the lines the reader can clearly see the broader challenges of our "democratic" country.
